Audi A4 Cabriolet
The Audi A4 Cabriolet is a stylish but understated four-seat two door convertible. The Cabriolet is the same Audi A4 only difference is the exterior body panel with soft retractable roof. A4 convertible is much improved over earlier cars and has been tuned to deliver a pleasing drive.
Initially A4 Convertible was launched with two V6 petrol engines a 2.4-litre engine producing 170 horsepower and 3.0-litre engine giving 220 horsepower. In August 2002 Audi introduced A4 Convertible with a 2.5-litre V6 TDI engine with 163 horsepower capability. In 2003 a 1.8T engine was launched with power of 163horses making it popular among buyer looking for quality with fuel economy. A quattro version of the 1.8T and 3.0 V6 was made introduced in 2003. In later years a powerful S4 quattro option was launched with a 4.2-litre V8 engine giving 340 horsepower reaching 0-62mph in just 5.9 seconds.
The standard equipment list in the Audi A4 Convertible includes remote control central locking, electronic climate control, 16-inch alloy wheels, a leather 4-spoke multifunction steering wheel and a Concert stereo with single CD player. Sport versions gets sports suspension, 17-inch five-spoke alloys, a sports leather steering wheel and sports seats with electric lumbar support. S line models get 18-inch alloy wheels and S line exterior badges, sports seats with Speed cloth, unique S line suspension settings and leather combination upholstery, a 3-spoke S line sports steering wheel with perforated leather trim and brushed aluminum fascia inlays.
Standard safety features includes electronic stability program, anti-lock brakes, electronic brake-force distribution, driver and passenger front- and seat-mounted airbags and active rollover protection system. Rear side airbags are optional but the top variations gets them as standard.Seats are comfortable with enough space even the rear row is quite comfortable for two adults. Luggage capacity in Audi A4 Convirtible is limited while the top is down, only 246 liters but loading space increases up to 315 liters with the roof up.
